I had to laugh though, upon finding no phone in the house. Everyone is using their cell phones,,, I’ve done that too but,, now I have no phone, so I was stuck until my roommate got home to call my uncle & talk him in.

We grabbed dinner at Applebees (a fine American establishment!) and then jet lag kicked-in. My beautiful 4-bedroom home has 2 empty rooms, one with my old bed, and the other bare. Having no spare bedroom furniture, & not wanting to impose on my roommate Violet’s personal space, Uncle T & I had to share a bed. Awkward,,, but thank-goodness it’s a California king. Plenty big for me to curl up in one corner & put a couple pillows to fill no-man’s land there in the middle. (= ha ha. I was down for the count by about 7:30.
