The construction of the great mosque (Masjid Agung) took place from 1738-1748, by Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin Jaya Wikramo (easy to mistake the names).

I thought my day was pretty much over by then,, but closing in on the midnight hour, a strange development blew up like a whoopee cushion over the phone…

A girl from Jakarta who really wanted to date months ago & still isn’t taking no for an answer, concocted a highly unusual scheme to get my attention. I’ve been ignoring her for over a month, hoping she’d get the point: not interested.
Insert plan B: drive a wedge between me & Nina, maybe thinking that would make me more amenable to her advances. I don’t know how.

I’ve never been targeted like this before, much less by a poor Indonesian girl looking for a ticket out. Easy to say, “yeah- that sucks” when it’s someone else.
It was a pretty elaborate stalker effort, I have to give her that much credit. Still a lousy way to close the day.
