After descending from the top, we trekked back through Yogya to Kota Gede. What is now a small suburb of Yogyakarta, 5km south, known for its narrow, winding streets filled with silver handicraft shops, it once was a palace city & center of the Mataram kingdom (1584-1750s)

We got a quick tour of the silver-smithing process in one of the factory/shops.
