A short walk along the cliffs is another small beach temple and a park with statues of the three primary manifestations of God: Siva, Brahma and Vishnu. Most sources I read describe Bali as primarily Shivaite Hindu (placing utmost importance upon the “greatest of all manifestations of God” as the figure Siva).

Siva, as the supreme manifestation of God, has 5 functions: 1. Creator 2. Preserver 3. Destroyer of Evil 4. Repriever of sin 5. Blessings.
Most Hindu temples here come in 3’s. One for Siva, one for Brahma, and one for Vishnu.

The 3 primary functions of Siva are divided up between his other manifestations:
Rudra the destroyer, Brahma the creator, and Vishnu the preserver.
