Pak Bari has been quite industrious and creative in finding ways to improve his family income. He patches tires in front of his house in the evenings for passing drivers suffering a flat. He sells gas in 1 liter bottles for a small mark-up. He digs for sand behind his old home and sells it as mortar. He borrowed $800 to buy a funny looking motorcycle pick-up to haul the sand around. With the proceeds from the sand venture alone, he has earned $300 in the last month and a half! For their next project, they hope to buy a photocopy machine and run a small business from the front of their home. (=
