Highlights: travel to Yogya, Bantul Ena’s house, shopping spree, home to Rochmadi house

I’m a little surprised, but pleasantly so… that this whole week has gone by with barely a peep from Nina’s family about my plans to convert or rush into marriage.
That was my standard for success this week!

I think the questions were answered indirectly through Nina when I wasn’t looking. Non-confrontation is a hallmark Javanese social characteristic. I’m not sure how much of that helped get me through the week, escaping the direct line of fire of inquisitive minds,,, but I think they understand I’m in no rush to change religious teams or hustle into advertised marital bliss. We’ll see how far non-communication gets us.

In the meantime, the moment for goodbye’s had come as Nina and I hopped onto a 7am shuttle to Yogya… a 6 hour ride.
