They passed clothes, shoes and toys, and went straight for the kitchen appliances section. Humble to the n’th degree, I had to prod them to get what they really wanted, instead of taking the cheapest alternative. This was probably the one time in the year & foreseeable future they were being given the opportunity to get quality products of what they wanted without worrying about the price tag.

We got a 6-function rice cooker, 2 water coolers, a fan, 2 electric mosquito swatters, and a couple smaller things. (= The only reason they didn’t go home with blankets is because the store didn’t carry any thick ones. One shopping spree = $115. Smiles on the faces of friends in need = Priceless.
