After a quick shower & dropping our bags off, we jumped on the scooter & drove down to Bantul (Pleret), to visit Ena’s family and see how post-earthquake developments were coming. I’m happy to keep in touch with a few of the many families I met, and want them to know I haven’t forgotten them.

I printed out all the photos I had of them, and the efforts my USINDO friends and I had volunteered at their home, digging out the rubble in June, July and August, assembled the pics in a small album with the dates & names of people scribbled into the margins.
Together, Nina and I brought the pics, a few t-shirts I got from Sumatra and some brownies down to Ena and her family’s house.
