Highlights: 50% discount confirmed! Embassy run, photos, computer

Today was again spent mostly before the keys of my laptop, hammering away & trying to shove more info through a semi-responsive internet connection.

Had to run to the embassy to send a file too big for Yahoo to chew to the finance Marines in the States.
Once there, I hounded the Dufan customer service office a little bit until I got connected to the decision maker, Pak Syaehu, who conferred upon me a 50% discount for my group! A quick fax later, I had the letter with his approval signature in hand (=
Victorious!!

Woo-hoo! All in all, I’ll be taking 18 families. 4 additional people asked to come, including the trusty Ojek driver (pak Budiman), his wife & 2 kids; so the total is now 45 people. (= And my costs just got officially cut in half! That’s great!

On the way home I printed out the photos from my birthday party at Eli’s to give to them… then spent the rest of the day exercising my digits over the keypad of my trusty laptop.
