Nina made a comment which took a little air out of the tires. “The whole family likes me…” But for the expression on her face, it sounded like a good thing. I guess she was hoping for a bit more criticism, to help her sort through her own feelings. The Muslim – Non-Muslim issue is weighing on her, I think.

It was time to get back to Yogya, so we could catch a flight to Jakarta tomorrow. Since this is the big travel season for Indonesians, the roads were full of cars, busses, trucks, scooters… (the heavy travel days would come on Sunday & early next week, as folks rush back to work)
