Highlights: Idul Fitri, visiting family, Blora, Nglobo (dad’s older brother), Rembang & Pantai Kartini, friends (Wenny), marathon conversation ranging from corruption, poverty & education with Pak Sahala Tambunan, Pak Sudargo, and another policeman uncle, to one-on-one conversation about Islam with Pak Sudargo & Bu Suharti (Nina’s parents), until 11pm. 0600 we were up & out the door to prayers
Today is one of the biggest religious days of the Muslim year, so when they asked if I wanted to come with them to Sholat,,, of course! It was an honor to go. Can’t learn everything from books alone.
