At 7:30 I went to see a traditional Balinese dance called the Kecak fire & trance dance.
The dance told a story of the Ramayana, a Hindu tale of good verses evil. There is a good prince (Rama), who is traveling through the woods with his beautiful wife (Sita) and brother (Laksmana). The ugly demon (Rahwana) lusts after the princess, and sets a trap to isolate her from the two men, so he can kidnap her.

There was an Extra Joss commercial on TV recently, during the world cup, featuring Christian Ronaldo (from Portugal),,, doing soccer juggling tricks in the middle of a hundred Balinese men doing this Kecak trance thing… (that’s why Dan rooted for Portugal, by the way). This show was just like that.
