After that, we went on a drive around Tampak Siring (county) into the village of Tegallalang,,, to see the countryside of central Bali. This area is covered mostly with rice fields and wood carving communities. It’s poor and simple. Many young adults are leaving these areas in search of better-paying jobs in the cities (bigger towns), like Ubud and Kuta beach, I hear. Many kids here can’t afford to go to school either.
