I hear Police have the roads blocked off at some point up the road, and have an alarm system in place if anything dangerous gets anywhere near town. Merapi is 20 miles away,, and the danger zone has predominantly been a 4 mile circle around the volcano. So I’m not worried.

World Cup soccer is all over the place here… I love it. We went out for dinner tonight as a family, and were standing up in the restaurant to watch Portugal defeat Iran (2-0) at 8pm,, then caught the second half of the Ghana-Czech game, happy to see the Czechs upset after killing the U.S. team last week,, and then of course I waited up until 2am to watch the U.S.-Italy game! We were robbed of a victory tonight, I tell ya! What were those red cards about?? Go home refs!
