Parents took turns watching each others kids as moms & dads darted for their favorite rides as well. Some of these kids are fantastically charming to watch in action… imitating their moms, as 7 year olds work to corral their 5 year old siblings & neighbors.
As the lunch hour approached, and the sun lavished us with bright, global warming beams of 90°, kids went through typical cycles of fatigue & tantrums, to return to their smiling, giggling selves 15 minutes later. They were in heaven,,, having a new giant playground to romp around in.
For lunch, the main group anchored down between the roller coaster and the Egyptian pyramid with high chair-swing ride. Buying lunch at amusement park rates was not an option for most of these families, so yesterday the moms spent the day preparing lunches for everybody. Rice mostly, with sambal (hot chile sauce), a few veggies and pieces of chicken. Sweet tea or water to wash it down with.
Groups of 5-6 darted off to the roller coaster, water flume ride, chair-swing & bouncy air-castle for kids.
I have to admit, this was probably my favorite part of the day,,, only for the reactions of some of the moms who ventured through the cork-screw roller-coaster ride thinking they were a touch braver than they really were. The pictures say it all (=
