We made our way to the Cultural Sciences (Ilmu Budaya) ceremony next. There were 31 graduates today. (22 girls, 9 boys). 13 English literature grads, 4 French, 3 Mandarin, 2 Arabic,,, Pak Djoko was most animated when reading off the statistics (=
Speaking of Pak Djoko (English department head & one of my former USINDO teachers), he was surprised & happy to see me in the crowd, and tossed my name out in the middle of his speech,,, mentioning how supporters from far & wide came to wish the students success (and would the studious American in the room please stand up…)

What a kidder! Nina’s friends were surely thinking,, “hey! Who’s getting props here? Us or your boyfriend?” honest- I didn’t put him up to it Nin! =)
