Three of us got tickets to Aceh for this weekend! $210 gets us there & back.

The phenomenon of opportunistic capitalism has not been lost on the region of Aceh, in the hotel industry anyways- from what I hear. When a hotel in Bali costs somewhere between $7-20,,, and a lesser quality hotel in Aceh is running $100 a night… something doesn’t add up. This is what I hear we should expect though, since so many NGOs have been sending westerners to the region to help them rebuild. They found the means to jack up hotel prices. We’ll see how that goes this weekend!
