Highlights: Zippo tailor, bookstore, English club

After class I went with my tutor, Merrie, to her dad’s tailor shop to see how much it would cost to have a suit made. $40 for jacket & pants, before the cost of the material? Um,, I’ll take three please. Ha ha.

Actually- the hardest thing was finding a picture of the style I want. Not that I had one in mind, but I figure I’ll never be able to have a suit hand-made again for $70.

I went to the bookstore to find a GQ magazine or something that would have pics of guys in suits… no such luck. I couldn’t find a single men’s fashion magazine,,, the one time I needed one! Ahh!

I did find a few Easy English grammar books though, and as I was killing time before my 7pm English club, I grabbed a couple of those & brought them by my favorite head-neck-shoulder massage place.

English club at the All-Plus language school was fun. They got me going on random conversation,, making comparisons between America & Indonesia on subjects ranging from trash disposal to electric grids, public transportation and the genesis of American interest in automobiles, sparked after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Always a good time!
