Highlights: drive to the beach, Tanwir’s home, beach mosque, cement factory beach, surfing, waterfall, A&W

We got a slightly earlier start today to take advantage of our last day here in Aceh, and headed towards the beach.

You can see evidence of mother natures temperament in several ways: landslides (the barren, sheer face of rock where ½ a hill once stood); tsunami damage (the empty foundations where homes once stood, and the standing skeletons of homes which partially withstood the water); piles of rubble (there was spotty earthquake damage here too on the day of the tsunami)…

There were a few solemn moments: Tanwir pointing out his best friend’s house (standing skeleton)
