We were going to put a tin roof up behind the house, but after we couldn’t successfully jury-rig a power cord to the electric drill by splicing old wires with scotch tape… we gave up & moved on to something we’re good at,,, moving rubble.

Today’s project: move a 5 foot pile of bricks & debris from the street in front of the house, to behind the house. They’re going to use it as a land-fill of sorts, to extend the foundation of their house back. If anyone else is thinking,, “is that really a good idea?..” I’m right there with you. This isn’t the first house we’ve worked on though to think of that.

4 hours & a few hundred wheel-barrel trips later, we cleared one of the piles. We enjoyed lunch with the family,, squirting the 3 year old with his missing front teeth with water occasionally. (=
