this guy is just amazing. The Avalokitesvara Buddha, from the Le dynasty, dating to 1656. It's an interesting mix of Hinduism & Buddhism, because Shiva (the ultimate representation of God in Hinduism) is often portrayed with many arms (this statue has 1,000 arms, if you count the small ones in the back), and can see in all directions (as this guy can)... and yet the hand gestures & sitting position, as well as the lotus are symbols of Buddha his pedestal of Lotus leaves & a dragon head for a little added Chinese influenced flair
