On the way to the Hoa Lo Prison, my driver took me by the Air-Force museum, which I had read about in Lonely Planet. It was closed today, for some reason- but for $2 cash to the armed guard in front, I was welcome to walk around & see the aircraft outside! Ok then (=
I’m a helicopter pilot… how am I going to turn down an invitation to check out interesting aircraft overseas! There were some exotic models in there. Nothing disturbing really- except the bullet riddled F-4 Phantom on display in it’s shot-up glory.
