inside our first cave. the folk tale that goes with this cave is like a Brothers Grimm story; the lesson being: don't disobey your parents. A fisherman once saw a girl in the market & fell in love. He could never have her, because he was poor. Vietnamese girls were traditionally married off by their parents. This particular girl was fixed to marry a rich man her parents deemed appropriate, but she refused. This being a social cardinal sin, she was forced to run-away from home, and took refuge in a cave. Upon hearing this, the fisherman who loved her set after her, but a storm thrashed his boat, leaving him stranded in "this" cave. He could see the girl in another cave, and called out to her repeatedly, but for the wind of the storm, she could never hear him. The two died alone in their respective caves... the young girl never knowing her loving fisherman was constantly calling for her. Ahhh,, sad ending.
