Highlights: simulator, more check-in stuff at squadron, dinner with Becc, Russ, Keita & Shelly
I was on the flight schedule for more simulator time. It’s getting a touch overwhelming, having to study systems limitations & flight procedures that I haven’t thought about in 3 years. The flying part is easy. That’s like getting back on a bicycle. Commiting to memory a stack of aircraft limitations & procedures as thick as phone-book, on the other hand, takes some time.
Still though- it’s fun being here & “flying” again. it’s the worlds best video game.
Running from Miramar to Camp Pendleton, (an hour drive) I had more check-in paperwork to get through.
Two other old roommates of mine are here in town, Russ Pool & Keita. Becc gave me a call so we could all go meet up for dinner. It’s fun catching up with people’s adventures & drama. Like I said earlier, in CH-46 squadrons- we’re all about the people.
