Mas Rizal and I got an early start today to get out to Bunaken island.
I hadn’t done much homework on Bunaken, because I was busy organizing the hundred + pics I took yesterday.
First thing was finding a way out there. After a 10 minute walk to the harbor, 5 different boat drivers scrambled over & offered their assistance in getting me to where I wanted to go. The negotiation process kindof felt like a Miami Vice sting operation. I don’t know why they couldn’t haggle the price of a boat on the side of the street,,, but they insisted on moving around a corner from all the competition to work out the details.
I’m pretty sure I was overcharged, but for $40 I got a speed boat which could get me out to the island in 25 minutes vs. the regular ferry, which would take an hour each way.
